A recurring theme amongst the raft of proposed changes—in the 2018-19 Federal Budget to the Royal Commission—has been insurance in super. Although there is strong emphasis to drive greater superannuation trustee accountability and appropriate retirement outcomes for the average Australian, one cannot help but question whether the continual amendments are building on, or detracting from, one another.
